Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) is a not-for-profit organisation of professionals in the fields of public relations, communication and other allied services, engaged in promoting professionalism and capacity building. PRCI today has 30 chapters across the country, and the Chandigarh Chapter was established in 2010.
PRCI has conducted seven global PR conferences and five international meets, including the Global Conclave at Chandigarh.
One of the annual feature of PRCI is its most sought-after Chanakya Awards, the PR Hall of Fame Awards, and Corporate Collateral awards in which communication professionals from various government, public sector and the corporate participate.
In 2013, PRCI initiated a youth wing, Young Communicators Club (YCC), to groom the students of journalism and mass communication, business management and other allied fields to network with the professionals and learn the fundamentals of public relations, advertising, corporate communication, etc. The objective is to prepare the youth for leadership positions in these fields through knowledge-sharing workshops and interactions.
